Things My Dad Said
Things My Dad Said is equal parts humor and nostalgia, inviting interesting and entertaining people to share their unique stories and memories about the men (and women) who had the greatest influence on how we navigate the world as adults. This podcast explores traditional and nontraditional influencers and how they communicated their world view, values and cultural norms. Things My Dad Said shows parenthood in a humorous, loving way while it serves to honor and unveil the vital relationships between children and parents, at all stages of life.

Midseason Break
What a great half-season we’ve had! By the numbers: 15 podcasts, 17 guests, 700 downloads in 200 cities in 40 of the United States in 8 countries in 4 continents! All 5 star ratings on Apple podcasts (not a ton of them, but hey, it’s something!)
We’ve heard from incredible and inspiring people about their unique relationships with their Dads, those who have passed and those who are still with us. I thank each of them for sharing their stories with us, and their Dads for being important role models.
I also want to thank you, the community that is helping write this perpetual love letter to my Dad who I lost nearly a year ago. I’ve returned to my journalist roots and it’s been a beautiful and fulfilling return.
We have so many more relationships to explore and I couldn’t ask for better people to do it with!
I’m taking a few weeks off to prep for the second half of the season, take care of some personal commitments and spend some time with family over the upcoming holidays. I’m looking so forward to coming back in mid-January for more episodes and anecdotes. Please join me for the second half of the season with some amazing guests!
Until then, I’m Elizabeth, the very proud daughter of Charles Andrew McCauley, and I’ll see you later!
